How did you measure the distance to the Sun for the first time?

In 1672, two astronomers - Cassini in France and Richard in Guyana - marked the exact position of Mars in the sky. They calculated the distance to Mars with a slight difference in these dimensions. And then, using elementary geometry, the distance from the Earth to the Sun was calculated. The value received by Cassini was understated by 7%.
