What else does the forest give us?

In addition to wood deciduous forests give us a lot of useful things. For example, charcoal, which is obtained by slow combustion of certain species of wood. In ancient times, people were much more dependent on the forest, because animals such as deer and wild boars gave them meat and skins. In deciduous forests, a lot of edible mushrooms (chanterelles, boars, honey, etc.) grow, and berries (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.). Our homemade currants and cherries were also once wild forest plants.
