How dangerous is atomic energy?

Despite the microscopic size of the atomic nucleus, the hidden energy in it is truly huge. As Einstein emphasized in 1905 in his special theory of relativity, nucleus particles can be regarded as sources of "pure" energy. Due to this, nuclear power plants produce a huge amount of energy with only a few tons of nuclear fuel. This circumstance is due to such a powerful destructive force of atomic bombs.
