Why do people live in tents?

In many parts of the world, people do not live permanently in one place, they roam the desert for flocks of sheep and goats from one oasis to another or from mountain pastures in the lowlands. One of these peoples, Bedouins, lives in the deserts of North Africa and the Middle East. Their tents are made of camel wool. But today, many Bedouins are living in urban areas.
