Who fought and died in the trenches?

Millions of young people during the First World War (1914-1918). Trunks are deep earth shelters in the form of moats, designed to protect soldiers from enemy fire; but they did not save from explosions. Gradually, the trenches were filled with water and marsh, and the soldiers sank and died of diseases , and the bodies of the dead for a long time remained unscathed, which attracted the whole hordes of rats to the trenches.
