What are pyramids?

The pyramids are giant tombs of the Egyptian kings - Pharaohs and nobles. Egyptians believed in afterlife. The tomb was considered to be the refreshment of the souls of the deceased Pharaohs and other noble people. The bodies of the deceased were embalmed and buried in these magnificent tombstones. There they put clothes, jewelry, a variety of utensils, which could be needed in their afterlife.
