Who went to America on foot?

First Americans! For many millions of years, desert North and South America have been separated from all over the world by the deep, winding oceans. During the last glacial period, they froze, which led to a decrease in their level and an isthmus that united America and Northeast Asia. This "bridge" went to new land in search of food herds of wild animals. Behind them came the tribes of primitive hunters. So people got to America and settled there. Scientists assume that this happened around 18,000 years ago.
